Originally from a small town outside Seattle, Shannon is an actor, singer, and dancer living in Chicago. She earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Shannon has been studying dance for 9 years, including jazz, ballet, and tap. Some of her favorite projects include Almost Heaven (Theatre at the Center), Young Frankenstein (Inga-Little Theatre on the Square), and Disaster! (Marianne-Chicago Theatre Workshop.) In 2018, she was nominated for Best Lead Actor at the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival for her work in TRU. In this groundbreaking new musical about mental health, she played artist Isla Claire and had the honor of reprising the role at Stage 773 in 2019. Shannon is a passionate activist, mental health advocate, and educator.
