Originally from a small town outside Seattle, Shannon (she/her) is an actor and activist living in Chicago. Some of her favorite projects include The British Invasion Live (National Tour), Almost Heaven (Theatre at the Center), Welcome to Jesus (American Theatre Company/Chicago Inclusion Project), and Death and Harry Houdini (The House Theatre of Chicago/Arsht Center Miami.) In 2018, she was nominated for Best Lead Actor at the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival for her work in TRU. In this NAMI-sponsored new musical about mental health, she played artist Isla Claire, a role that she reprised the following year at Stage 773. Shannon is a passionate human rights activist, mental health advocate, educator, and is on the associate board of The Simple Good, a non-profit offering Social Emotional Learning-based arts programs to Chicago youth. She earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.
